MALE CLIENT ADVOCATES FOR CO-EDUCATION GROUP & INDIVIDUAL CLASSES:
Macon & Shelbina Centers
A male client advocate serving in this capacity would serve along with either a female client advocate or group educator. Essentially, this position provides a male presence during co-education classes that include fathers. Advocates will participate in group conversations giving a father point of view.
Time Commitment: This volunteer position would be during a group class or individual session during normal business hours. Time commitment is about 1.5-2 hours. Macon group classes are currently Mon. at 1:30 and Tues./Wed. at 10:30. Group class schedules are subject to change depending on clients availability. Shelbina group classes are currently through the lunch hour.
MALE & FEMALE CLIENT ADVOCATES:
Macon & Shelbina Centers
Our 'Earn While You Learn' and 'A2A' program include individual case management for clients and co-education group classes for couples. Client Advocates meet with clients to provide ongoing support and direction. Female Client Advocates are specifically trained as Pregnancy Decision Coaches. Male Client Advocates will be trained as co-educators with specific training on interacting with male clients. After completing your training - you will be matched with a client as his/her client advocate. This would be a great opportunity for couples to serve together - as if we have fathers involved we try to match them with both male/female advocates. Once matched, you will meet with the client 1-3 times a month dependent upon the client's individual needs. You will meet with this same client through the duration of his/her time in the program.
Commitment of Training: 23 hours (Group class & Working on your own)

SUPPORT US AS A LOCAL MISSION PROJECT
Missions programs vary by church. Some give monthly contributions, others give quarterly or one annual financial gift. Others feature us at their events (VBS, Mission Night, Women's Retreat, Small Group) and book one of our speakers to come share about our ministry. We gratefully appreciate your financial support.
Someone you know or hear about is facing an unplanned pregnancy or maybe it's a mom or dad that could use some classes on parenting or help with providing the material needs of their child, we can help. Our services are confidential and free. Placing posters and Ray of Hope brochures in your church generates awareness of our services.
PARTICIPATE IN OUR BABY BOTTLE BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
Supporting Ray of Hope through a Baby Bottle Campaign is a great way to raise awareness for respecting life within the church and the community.
It's easy to implement! Ray of Hope provides the baby bottles, bulletin inserts, and guest speakers, if needed. Families are asked to take the bottles home and collect change (cash or checks) for a period of 4 weeks. Bottles are then returned to the church and we arrange for them to be picked up.
The Baby Bottle Campaign runs January-May and can be introduced at any time. It is most popular during January (Sanctity of Human Life Month), Lent, and Mother's Day. Call Tessy at 660-395-8099 to sign up for your month today.
